We welcome you to our waxing studio! We will use the check-in system available in the house centre. You can confirm your booking via automatic text notification, and we will be expecting you at the exact time for your treatment.
You will be welcomed by our friendly ambassador associate who will get you checked in. They will answer any questions you might have about your waxing reservation and explain if there are new promotions available, to help you save more on your future and current treatments.
All of our waxing specialists are fully trained in-house, ensuring we carry on our high standards of cleanliness and transforming the waxing experience into a luxury affair.
BEFORE YOUR VISIT
On the day of your waxing treatment, your hair should be at least 1/4 inch long. This ensures that the hot wax shrink-wraps and removes short, stubborn hair as short as 1 mm.
On your first waxing, we recommend not shaving at least 2 weeks before your treatment.
After your first waxing, we advise waxing every 3-4 weeks. All that’s left to do is go home and throw your razors away.
OUR TIPS
- Be calm and take a deep breath.
- Pretend you are in Bali on the beach. The more relaxed you are, the less painful your waxing procedure will be.
- Let your waxing expert know of any medication you are taking or topical retinol creams you are using, in case waxing may not be recommended.
- Luxury must be comfortable, otherwise, it is not luxury. Ensure you are wearing comfortable cotton underwear to avoid redness if this is your first wax experience.
- We advise you not to use numbing creams, since they will not penetrate your skin.
- Do not consume significant amounts of alcohol or caffeine. It will make your blood thinner and your skin sensitive, which will potentially make your experience uncomfortable.
- Do not tan for 24 to 48 hours before your booking. Since the wax treatment exfoliates the skin, we strongly advise avoiding sun exposure 3 days after waxing.
THE PROCESS
Step 1: cleansing the skin
We cleanse the area for the wax, to remove oil, lotion or any products and will allow the wax to bind itself to the hair strand and does not stick to the skin.
Step 2: skin protection
A pre-waxing oil is applied to the skin in order to create a barrier between the skin and the wax, therefore the wax never actually touches your skin, which makes the procedure less painful.
Step 3: choose the wax
The wax is then applied to the hair and it is left to set for a few seconds before being rapidly removed against the hair growth. The process is repeated until all hair is removed.
Step 4: soothing
After this, your skin will be cleansed and a lotion is applied in order to soothe the area.
